What is the difference between lighting design and lighting distribution?

Lighting distribution focuses on ensuring that each area receives the correct level of light (lux) based on its function. This approach calculates how many fixtures are needed to properly light a space, without considering furniture placement, interior finishes, or decorative elements. Lighting design goes a step further. It looks at space as a whole and focuses on how people experience it. By carefully selecting beam angles, fixture placement, and light layers, lighting design highlights architectural details, decorative features, and circulation areas. It also allows the lighting to adapt to different times of day and activities, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment rather than just a well-lit one

To get started, we’ll need a few key drawings: 1- Architectural plans 2- HVAC (air-conditioning) plans, to ensure lighting and services work smoothly together 3- Interior design or furniture layout plans, so lighting can enhance the space and complement how it will be used If available, 3D visuals or renders are a great bonus. They help us better understand your style and create a lighting solution that truly fits your vision. Note: All drawings should be provided in DWG format.

If you’re lighting a commercial space, we start with a consultation session to understand your needs and review the space together. We then propose a lighting concept and suitable products for discussion and approval. Once confirmed, we provide a price quotation. After partial payment, you will receive: 1- Detailed lighting plans 2- A clear and comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BoQ) This approach ensures clarity, transparency, and a smooth project journey from start to finish.
